Had dinner here a few days ago and although fairly busy, managed to get a table for two. After being handed the menu and with considerable consultation, I settled on the beef/ox cheeks and my partner the grilled chicken breast. Disappointingly, the beef cheeks we’re unavailable being left to make an ad hoc decision settling for laksa. Both meals were very good and of a generous size. I also ordered a schooner of beer and was told that all the taps were malfunctioning. This was arguably more disappointing however midway through the meal I was given a schooner of beer free of charge. This was greatly appreciated.Good service and good food at a reasonable price.

Staying at the Hilton, we ate at the Deck on two occasions as over the Christmas period there aren’t too many dine out options especially with the two days of rain we experienced.  The service was fantastic.  The staff remembered our names, room number and the choice of beverages from 2 nights before.  The food was very average considering the price.  I had the salmon one night and the chicken burger on the second visit.  Others ordered salads, burgers and a pasta.  My salmon was very over done and the risotto was watery and very much like hot wet rice.  The Chicken in the burger was dry as was the beef patty in one burger.  The Thai salad was drowning in dressing and the chilli overpowered any other flavour.  I would eat there again, but maybe just stick to something simple like a burger as even with the slightly dry meat, it was still nice and better than eating at a take away food chain.  The espresso crème brulee was nice as was the Mississippi mud cake.

The service was great but the food not so great. I had the $32 fillet which was way over cooked for my medium rare order. Hubby had $42 wavy rump which was better. Better to go to the Thai next door – but make sure you book.

Food was great and service even better. Recommend the portahouse and rib combo. If you get there before 6 and order 2 mains you get 2 free glasses of wine or 3 mains a whole bottle.

Where you will end up eating at Doubletree Hotel if you failed to make a reservation at Hanuman or don’t like Asian cuisine. Adequate at best.
