Such slow service. The food took an hour to come out. We ordered at 7:30pm and the food finally arrived at 8:30. We got the lamb korma to share with a serving of rice. The food itself was good, and since we went on Saturday night we were surprised by a belly dancer! The lamb was soft and tender and the curry itself was rich and flavoursome.

This is my favourite restaurant in Darwin. I love the food, the service, the atmosphere and the cocktails are amazing! I cant say enough about this place. Whether its a meal for 2 or a group of people, I have always had great experiences here. Whenever I have friends or family up from down south, i make sure we have a night here.Don’t stop doing what you’re doing Nirvana!

Chicken tonight?. I ordered butter chicken which tasted like it came straight out of a chicken tonight can, it was brown, butter chicken is typically Orange/red as it should be a tomato based recipe. Flavourless and completely overpriced will not be returning here

Good, with potential yet to be uncovered. I’d heard about Nirvana for years from people who’d been there and loved it – for the food as well as the atmosphere. Finally I went along on a Saturday night.I loved the decor which enhanced the intimate, cosy, alternative and exotic atmosphere. There was a blues band playing in the corner which made it even better.I had the Penang Chicken which was delicious and not unbearably spicy, which I find it often is at other places. It had just the right amount of bite and was a great serving size. The only bad thing about it was that I couldn’t finish it because I was so full. The sangria was good, but not the best I’ve had. It did come in a generous serving though which I’m not accustomed to, so that was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It would be a great place for a bigger group of people to dine at because they can enjoy the entertainment and sit back and relax on the comfy furniture. I will definitely return there if I can, maybe with a few more friends 🙂

Just Awesome. I love this funky jazz bar and restaurant. Food has always been fresh and tasty, and service has been good too. I love the belly dancer who dances at your table too, just a bit of fun. Overall, a great place.

We have lived in Darwin for a year and I still have very low expectations of dining here, Nirvana didn’t disappoint, Spring rolls were heavy, tiny and oily, chicken was questionable, resting on a bed of hot sliced lettuce garnish, the other dishes dry, unimaginative and very anglicized versions of the Subcontinental/South East Asian dishes on the menu. The roti heavy, undercooked and had solidified. The upside, polite and expedient service. Would only dine here if nothing else open
