When you think of the best Indian in the world you think of Delhi, Kolkata and Namaste Authentic Indian Restaurant Albany Creek. As an entree we indulged in the delightful veggie samosas..these bad boys weren’t just great tasting, they were the size of a half full marble bag. We rolled with 2 mains – Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Boonah. Butter Chicken was smooth, saucy and sensual af. The Boonah (no longer on the menu) was packing more heat than Indian paceman Javagal Srinath! Full of flavor with a serve of fresh steamed Jazzy rice, went down a treat. All of this, tied in with an Indian essential, the garlic Naan, made for an impressive first encounter. The only hiccup preventing a flawless score was upon ordering there was some confusion with the now redundant Boonah.4.23 / 5 Golden creme potatoes
This place is okay. Honestly, it could do with some improvements. We got the Butter Paneer and Vegetable Korma. My wife is a Korma connoisseur, it’s the only thing she usually orders at Indian restaurants. The Butter Paneer was nice, but could do with a little less cheese and be improved with some fresh vegetables. The Vegetable Korma had frozen Homebrand vegetables in it, possibly purchased from the Woolworths across the road. The Korma contained no fruit or nuts like you would expect in a Korma, and for $17 for a large size container you would expect fresh vegetables bring added in.Overall, this place is average. I’ve definitely had better Indian at other local places (there is one just up the road). They need to ditch the Homebrand vegetables and make a few improvements.
