I really loved Lefty’s. The food was amazing but what made it for me was the fabulous customer service. A must try is the delicious Sangria.
Lamb Moussaka. Traditional moussaka has pulled meat not mince, and the egg plant is meant to be layered not diced throughout. Tasty. But more of a shepherds pie and for $25 it’s a major let down.—–05 Apr, 2015—–Leftys was unique in that I’m sure lefty was quite hammered, yelling and carrying on like a goose, we sat down at what we thought was a nice table, secluded and off to the left to eventually be harassed by lefty in what I’m sure he thought was a humours fashion, he accosted us several times about sitting at a staff table. The food was way over priced for what it was even though quite tasty. Each dish was worth about 5-6 dollars less than what was charged.
Seafood selection with no seafood. Leftys is well named. Left field would be a better description. Entrees – delish. Main, terrible, a seafood selection with no seafood in it, just a cheesy sauce. Entertainment 10/10. The oWner mingles around every table and if he doesn’t like you he will literally pay you out publicly, as he did for some poor kiwi’s who complained about the bugs! He yelled something from the bar and then put a beetles song on!! This restaurant is not for the faint hearted!
Never Again.. Food was great, until i saw a white fluffy dog walk from the kitchen. Spat what i had in my mouth out, and refused to eat anymore. The night was spoiled by the owner/manager by his drunken behavior. Food 6/10. Service 8/10 (not the owner but)
