It’s not the best but for $20 on a Tuesday night for the salad bar, you can’t go wrong. We stay for 2 hours and feel like we get our money’s worth, even though the food is average at best sometimes.
Our kids enjoyed it, as they’ve never really seen an ‘all you can eat’ type place before and we don’t have Sizzlers in Melbourne anymore. The sizzling garlic prawns were satisfactory, as was the barramundi. The selection of salads and sides was acceptable, but nothing was outstanding. The complimentary cheese toasties are nice. The desserts were a let down for me, although I liked the chocolate mousse, (the bread & butter pudding and apple crumble tasted pretty ordinary). The kids loved the soft serve ice cream with various toppings. Cost us just over $90 for two adults and two kids.
My wife had gone to sizzlers as a kid with her family. Came down here from melbourne. Mrs told me we should go since ive never been before. Order rump steak with garlic mushrooms with mash. Unfortunately beef steak was still nearly mooing. There was so much garlic i couldnt taste anything else. Tried the salad bar salads and soup had no seasoning/spices. Only good thing was the friendly staff and the fruit. I still cant believe people waste 70 dollars when maccas is right across the street. Wont recommend for others to come.
Sizzlers you’re not as good as I remember
