Friendly and efficient service gave us false hope that the food was going to be any good. Ordered steak medium and it was well done, charred and the mushroom sauce was some weird gluggy mess. Whiting was a tiny serving of mainly batter and not much fish.
Poor service here. Went in to post office for the first time today 28.3.15 for lunch. Young girl greeted us, very friendly and explained everything. That’s where the service ended. I picked a eye fillet steak off the menu went up to the bar to order and chose my options to be told sorry we need new menus they’re not really up to date! The sauces I wanted-nope we don’t have that. Second one I chose, nope don’t have that, finally I asked what they did have as being told no was getting repetitive. After a 30 minute wait – not too bad for steak – my meal was brought to me cooked incorrectly and with a completely different sauce to what I ordered. The young guy taking the order didn’t seem to listen to any of our order except for telling me repetitively that there menus are out of date. After waiting I ate the meal anyway as we were hungry. Steak was great but side was a lumpy small portion of mash potato- not $35 meal worthy. To be honest the steak was great and the food was about a 7/10 it was just a young guy behind the bar that found social conversation with what seemed to be two friends much more interesting than any one else in the restaurant or taking orders correctly. I Won’t be returning but I think with a service improvement you have a great concept and could be a winner.
