Was super excited to try the cakes here after seeing them all over Instagram. They look absolutely amazing and the flavours sounded delicious. Have now been twice (tried a Nutella brownie and chocolate peanut butter maple cake) but was a bit let down by the sugar overload! Now I’m usually quite a sweet tooth but these were just too much. The cakes themselves are beautifully made and lovely and moist but the flavours are not balanced with the amount of sugar. Coffee was lovely but don’t know if I’ll be back to try another cake.. maybe a fruity flavour will be better than the flavours I tried?

I have been following Tome on Instagram and drooling over their delicious cakes for along time. Recently on a trip to the Sunshine Coast, I finally got to try one of their yummy cakes and it did not disappoint. The pumpkin, cardamom and ginger cake I devoured was sensational (it as also gluten free). Also really great coffee.
