So disappointed. Went here for a birthday dinner with my family. We got the Gobi 65, onion pakora and chicken tikka entree. The tikka was horrible and wasn’t hot inside. No flavour and chewy. We didn’t finish it. Gobi 65 and onion pakora were the only decent tasting items. For mains we ordered butter chicken, chicken saag, chicken korma, aloo palak, coconut rice, garlic naan, haka noodles and tandoori noodles. I sampled everything and only the noodles were good but not enough that I would go out of my way to buy them. The chicken in the curries tasted luke warm and the sauces did not taste fresh or authentic. More like a cheap sauce from the shops. Korma was so bland. Butter chicken was so sweet. Coconut rice was rice with dessicated coconut and onion mixed together. Nothing like Thai coconut rice. It was really weird tasting. Wouldn’t go to haris again.
Got a takeaway from here last night . Terrible . Had a feeling it wouldn’t be good when I picked it up . The place looked untidy and unclean . Won’t be going back
This restaurants tops the list of WORST restaurants on Brisbane. People running the place have no experience what so ever in actually running a restaurant is what I sincerely believe. My sad story at this restaurant; I had taken my family there and as we made ourselves seated in one of the tables, it took them about 30 minutes to give us water and then they took the order. Afterwards we waited for 45 minutes and still did not get our food. When my wife enquired and said that our 2 year old is very hungry, she was informed that there were two tables in front of us and would take another 45 minutes. WTH. I kid you not there was only 4 tables with people. Anyway when we decided to cancel our order they did not even apologise for the inconvenience. I highly recommend for anyone TO NOT GO to this restaurant.
This place has an amazing-sounding menu, with so many options, but I didnt think the quality was there.I placed an online order, through menulog.com.au, on Saturday night and specified I wanted to collect my order at 7pm. I arrived at 7pm and was told it would be another five minutes. My order was finally ready at 7.25pm, nearly half an hour after it was meant to be ready for pick up.I ordered the eggplant vindaloo (first time I have seen it on a menu!) and it tasted like a supermarket jar of vindaloo. In addition to the eggplant vindaloo, I also got some vegetarian samosas, and cheese and garlic naanboth of which were somewhat unenjoyable. Maybe I just picked the wrong dishes, but there are definitely better Indian restaurants around the Ashgrove area.
Had food delivery. Naan was missing. Ice cream was missing. Wouldnt give money back or wouldnt deliver the items missing. Food wasnt the greatest. Masala dosa had a bitter after taste like spices were burnt. Disappointed.
Went here with a group of friends on a Tuesday night. The place was hardly busy; empty when we arrived and then maximum of 3 other tables throughout the night. Service was terrible, we waited an hour for our meals, and all other tables were served before us. Even then, it took about 20 minutes to bring all of our dishes out. The meal was probably the most bland Indian dish I’ve ever had. Definitely not worth the wait.
Me and my partner decided to give this place a go, as soon as we walked in, we had instant service and were seated to our table and given water and the dosas. The waiting time wasn’t long at all, the butter chicken tasted great, I wasn’t a fan of the spring rolls, but everyone is different. 🙂 I recommend going here if you want a filling feed for under $50 for two people. 🙂
