If you are after Indian in a pinch try hari chilies. If you have a bit more time up your sleeve maybe try somewhere else. This wasnt bad… it just wasn’t great. The goat curry briyani was well flavored, but really boney and showed careless prep. The eggplant curry was reasonable but contained too many dried chillies to make the meal readily enjoyable would navigating the chili minefield. Not great, but not bad. Solid 2.5…
I am a little suprised to see the lack of 5 star reviews for this place. It is the closest to authentic south Indian/Sri Lankan food I have discovered in Brisbane. Highly recommend the goat on the bone and their biryani. Portions are decent size, prices very reasonable and taste authenticity very good.
Most of the negative reviews seem to have focused on the Indian part of the menu. I’ve never eaten from that, but have had many good experiences with the Sri Lankan part of the menu. Excellent food. The dosas have always been good too.But the service is not so great. As much as I like the restaurant, any visit must come with a warning that service could be very, very, very slow.
