This place has great range of very tasty Vietnamese salads, rice paper rolls and bahn mi. There’s also a wide selection of pastries, pies and bread – great wholemeal multigrain and the pepper steak pie is always a winner!
They get 0 for the ambiance as it is outside of the Ashgrove Woolies with really nowhere to sit. All of the points are allocated to the deliciousness of their food, especially their Bahn Mi and Vietnamese Salads. Some of their sweet selections are amazing as well. The staff are extremely hard working and friendly. The owners are especially nice. I purchase lunch from here at least 3 times a week and will continue to do so while the quality of the food remains at this level.
Who would expect a selection of Vietnamese street food in a bakery? Rolls’ Savour wisely offered those. All the food and sweets in the displays looked nice, clean and tempting. I first thought of just a piece of pastry for my brunch, but those fresh Vietnamese salads were irresistible. Enjoyed the grilled chicken salad for its freshness though the chicken was sort of dry and the dressing was a bit too sour. It would have been great if adding few more mints as there was only one mint leave on top just for garnishing. The pork meatballs were yummy in my tummy; well seasoned and well cooked. The service was simple and polite. Liked the fact that there was no Eftpos minimum. Will try some of the bakery next visit.
A nice little bakery but I tend to choose the Vietnamese salads whenever I visit. I really like the noodle salads and have been back on numerous occasions. Yum, fresh and quick lunch! lifelovetravelfood.wordpress.com
In the centre next to Woolworths at Ashgrove- baked goods including pies, cakes, buns, bread and rolls. They sell Vietnamese salads, drinks and rolls with delicious fillings of chicken , salad etc. also rice paper rolls stuffed with pork or chicken or prawns. Quite a find this place is well priced, handy and the food is great
I regularly crave bahn mi, I really do. And I stumbled across the object of my affection at this unassuming little bakery outside Ashgrove Woollies. Options were: steamed pork; bbq pork; lemongrass chicken or meatball – we had a chicken and a bbq pork*. Ingredients were tasty and fresh but next time will get ’em toasted for more crunch on the baguette. There was no pate and instead less traditional mayo and soy. Still yummo. Although being pre-made and cling wrapped in the cabinet, totally rate these at $6. Yes there were Rolls. Yes they were Savoured. * pork option highly endorsed by Cino
