The best Indian cuisine I have eaten in my life. They have been consistently amazing for the last 20 years I have been going there. Taj has surpassed and ruined every Indian meal I have eaten elsewhere. Nothing is better in the greater Brisbane area.
Stopped dining there for ages due to indifferent and unhelpful service, but still order takeaway sometimes. From the recent reviews, seemingly the service had been improved. Their curries were one of the nicest we had had in Brisbane, and the complementary turmeric rice was the best ever.
I’m afraid this old favourite has slipped. The service is very slow (recent average for takeaway well over an hour, most recently nearly 2 hours). The nail in the coffin for me is that they are so rude to their waitstaff, who appear to turn over quite regularly. M
What happened to this place? I grew up close to here so this was always our go to Indian and it was consistently really good, tasty food. I recently went back and not only is the restaurant tacky and run down as hell, there was stacked furniture and random things that belong in a storage area just laying about. The service and the food were both awful. We found the rice was greasy and couldn’t eat the curries whatsoever, we ended up leaving a full table of food in the end. Really disappointed in what this place has turned into.
I honestly love this restaurant. It would probably have the best Indian food in Brisbane. Service is okay but I still eat there and give feedback to them and tell them about there service.
Geez this place is creepy. Every time I go here there are new staff, and they seem to only hire blonde girls aged 16-20. Real creepy. Staff turnover rate seems very high. Food is decent but the service is shocking. Understandably because they always have new staff. Best part about the place is that it’s next door to a Baskin & Robbins.
The worst ever resturant I came across. Ordered Biryani which was more like Pulao/Fried Rice. On providing feedback we were being told Indians hardly visit and its more of Australian taste. On taking the leftovers they charged $2. Never came across a resturant which charge $2 for take aways. The website menu list is outdated. Thought of having good outing with family which got totally ruined.
