This was the worst dining experience ever. I ordered three dishes, and waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for the first dish. This curry was essentially pan fried meat, with bland watery curry sauce added later. Curries are supposed to be meat/vegetables simmered in a flavour sauce. The second dish was so cold, the noodles were still frozen. It appeared the chef did not even attempt to cook let alone heat this dish. It was completely inedible. The third was bland and lacked texture and flavour. We also ordered rice, and this came out last – which is unbelievable, as this would have been the first thing to have finished cooking.Worst dining experience in many years. Will never return.
Bit disappointed tonight. Our fave Thai is closed so we had to find another one around the area. And I truly can’t believe that this place has been rated so high. The food was bland. Sorry to be harsh but it just wasn’t up to standard for me and my friends. Ordered pad see ew, panang curry and beef salad and they were all lack lustre and lacking in flavour. Ordered the entree fish cakes and I don’t know what they were made of but they tasted and looked like rubber! Very disappointed and kind of sick of paying money to expect good food but time and time again being let down.
The food is great! Fresh and tasty and very good value. The lady serving is warm and friendly I loved this place. We will make the drive from Milton to go there! Thankyou for your service!!!
Was looking for a different thai food joint, so my friend’s and I decided to go a bit further to ashgrove and try out this place. The restaurant wasn’t big or fancy but it had a cosy feel to it. We were greeted by the chef and owner himself and ordered a few dishes: pad thai, thai green curry, curry puffs and thai milk tea. Will waiting for our food we discovered that the chef was a famous world class chef, having worked in several 5 star hotel all around the world. All the dishes he made were beautifully presented with flowers carved from vegetables. Definitely worth a visit!!! everything was just great and the food was truly amazing!
We are new to the area and thought we would try some local takeaway.I read the review on the site all looked good.I have to say this is the worst Thai I have ever had.We tried spring rolls oily, Larb watery and had no flavour, Green curry was like soup did not even taste like a Green curry. Went straight to the bin and kids had leftovers.
Omg! Yum! Love it! More, more please some more!! The most loveliest people you could meet, who make food from the souls!! So yum! Try the Tom Ka Gai!! It really is chicken soup for the soul! X
Thai chinpala is one of those places that has the confidence of relying purely on its food. The moment you enter, you notice the attention and care for a customers experience. You notice the chef is highly experienced and awarded, at odds with the relaxed setting. The food here is light, fresh and flavourful with careful presentation. It was out favourite beef massaman ever! So fragrant and tender. We will certainly be back.
