  • Taking Brisbane One Coffee House At A Time

Amazing little coffee shop in Aspley Hypermarket! Everything is made fresh in house, with love! This is what an owner operated cafe is really about. They also sell my all time favourite coffee, Fonzie Abbott! They have some amazing sweet muffins and the sugar cookies are adorable and to die for!

My partner and I decided to try this little cafe out but were very let down. We started with a Flat White which was incredibly bitter, and almost had a taste of sour milk which was not pleasant at all. The menu had buffalo chicken wings which is what had caught our attention. Unfortunately this is no longer on the menu. My partner settled for the pulled pork sandwich and a bowl of fries with aoli and I had the Eggs Benedict with Bacon.Whilst the service was fairly quick, the meals were disappointing. The pulled pork sandwich was a small brioche bun that you could buy from the supermarket. A handful of slaw and small amount of pulled pork. It was practically gone in 4 mouthfuls. Highly overpriced at $16.50. I would have included a side of fries for this price. The $8.00 bowl of fries were beer batter fries which had been deep fried in what tasted like vegetable oil meaning all of the oil had soaked into the fries leaving a not so nice taste in the mouth. A fair sized serving, however still overpriced for fries. These could have been very nice if done properly. The aoli for the fries was nothing more than cheap mayonnaise with no hint of garlic or lemon which would be expected for Aoli. The Eggs Benedict, nearly made an impression. Nice large pieces of freshly sliced bread with fair sized pieces of bacon. The eggs were slightly overcooked, therefore not giving the runny yolk you expect for eggs benedict but that’s not a problem. The hollandaise sauce which is of course the main characteristic of Eggs bene, looked the part but tasted disgusting. I would have taste tested that before putting it on my customers food. Far too much lemon juice, left it as lemon sauce, not hollandaise. Such a disappointment, as this is a great location for this little cafe, with no one within its vicinity. We will not be back.

Its basic but perfect for brunch. I quite enjoyed my eggs benny with salmon! Accompanied with a home-made potato hash – if you like salty hash browns, try this one. I liked it. Coffee was good too! Not hard to find, right next to woolies..

Little cafe in the hyper market. The food was basic but alright. The service was fast and efficient. A bit of a conflict between 2 staff member in front of us so this was not so professional.
