My experience at New Canton Chinese was good, but not great. They do a very nice sweet and sour pork, but the fried rice was nothing special and the honey chicken was not as good as what I can get in the Valley. If we return, I’d be keen to try the crispy shredded beef – another diner ordered it and it looked like something I would enjoy.
Best Chinese ever! Garlic chicken yum! Sweet & sour soup amazing! I’m not a Chinese lover at all but we get take away from here all the time.
Travel from brighton to Aspley for this Chinese takeaway very often. Very good price for a very good meal. Sweat and sour pork is perfect and bbq pork ribs are a must. Honey king prawns and prawn toast very good also. Never eaten in but I would say service would be great as well.
Great Take Away! We ordered here last week on a Wednesday night – whilst the wait was a bit long (40mins) it was well worth it. The restaurant is right in Gympie Rd and a bit unassuming, however when i walked in it was packed, which i took to be a great sign for a weeknight. The sweet and sour pork was amazing, beef and cashews and chicken chow mein were all delicious and tasted really fresh. We will definitely be back, best Chinese i’ve had in ages!
Amazing food, would say one of the best Chinese Take Away’s I have experienced in Brisbane! Food is always super fresh and orders are exactly what we requested (my dietary requirements). Defiantly rates high on my list of favourite take outs! (Special fried rice only thing I wouldn’t order)
We have been here a couple of times and never disappoints. Great food all round. Won’t disappoint. Extensive menu to choose from. Friendly and prompt service. Recommended.
The New but not so good Canton restaurant.. I decided to take my family to The New Canton Restaurant based on the number of good reviews previously.Don’t make the same mistake we did. I wasn’t concerned with the decor resembling an old style breakfast diner as this isn’t what is important. I was concerned with the filthy menus, filthy tables with food scraps left on them and overall poor standard of food. Without exception, every meal was average but the service was a very poor standard. The owners obviously overvalue their establishment because it was the most expensive dining experience for us in a while. Many places of better standard that are cheaper available in Brisbane.
