A must visit in Stanthorpe since Travis Crane n co has taken over the kitchen. The home baked bread was to die for! His interpretation of the french cassoulet dish was smart and tasty. I like his use local philosophy regarding the ingredients.
This is an amazing place that we discovered tonight ! The food was way above what we expected! Fresh, organic, local and so much effort put on presentation . We did the 7 course degustation with wine matching. I personally didn’t like the taste of lamb brain but still recognised the originality in the meal and succeeded to enjoy it. Everything was so correct and surprising!! Thank you sooo much for this special moment
If your visiting Stanthorpe I highly recommend this place. These guys really know what to do with their food. I love the fact that everything they use is local produce and sourced within a 3 hour radius. We were fortunate enough to try one of their picnic lunches. One of my favourite dishes was the venison terrine with the strawberry and pepper sauce but to be honest each dish packs a punch. They also have a degustation menu so I cannot wait to try this next time. The Barrel Room is definitely a show stopper.
