Not impressed for what was our Sunday night treat. Dined in and stated so when ordering, but food was served in cardboard boxes and plastic bags – that’s fine, now we know. Took 25 minutes for one shared serving of Fish and Chips.Returned to counter and had to ask for some chicken salt to be put on chips. But our biggest gripe was that we asked for table water (tap water and glass so mum could take tablet) and he outright refused, insisting we buy bottled water. Not cool. I went next door to the Burrito Bar and the man didn’t hesitate to pour me a glass of water. So to Reef Fish, I understand and appreciate the needs of a business is to sell product and make money – I get it. Butitwould make better business sense to make a water station available and just live with it. Even with free tap water, the buyers of bottled water still will buy bottled water – thishas been proven. And for the rest of us who will happily go without water rather thanbeing told to buyit, just on principle, providing a water station or a cup of water when asked is just good customer service in such a competitive market, leads to a good reputation which in turn leads to making money the next time when the customer chooses to return, rather than going nextdoor to one of the other several choices.
I love their chips with chicken salt. Nice, quick service in clean surrounds. We’ve been over a dozen times now and always been happy with the fish and chips.
