Such a classy looking establishment amongst the laid back beach setting, this place is lovely to stop by for a meal and coffee whilst overlooking the beach.

Holidays aren’t complete without lazy weekend breakfasts, and Salt at Bargara have struck gold with their location; overlooking the beach, within walking distance to the kid’s ‘Turtle Park’ and boutique shopping. Being regulars to this area, we knew that this place would be busy – there are VERY few options for good dining in Bargara (but so much potential – you could make a fortune opening a good cafe in this area). When we got there we were pleased to see it wasn’t full, but we still ended up waiting ten minutes for a table as the wait staff appeared to have gone AWOL. Eventually they seated us, then went missing again. When we were finally asked if we would like drinks to start, we ordered our coffee and breakfasts at the same time (not knowing how long it’d be until we saw staff again). I was informed gruffly by the waitress that avocado on the side was NOT an option with my smoked salmon & eggs benedict. No, not even if I paid extra for it. Right. Anyway, I’m on holiday so I let that go. The coffees and breakfasts came quickly – and they were delicious, can’t fault them there – but after searching around for a staff member to pay the bill at the end of our meal, I’d kind of had enough. Great food, mediocre service. $80 to feed two adults and two kids breakfast.

Chocolate brownie was to die for, crunchy and fresh lemon meringue pie was just as good, seems to be home made food, the coffee was the second best we had in bargara.

Very fast and efficient service, sat down ordered and finished in 30mins. Delicious chai and cappuccino, and the breakfast was yummy.. perfect eggs!

Perfect spot for Brekky. Beautiful view. Lovely, fast service. Smoked salmon scramble very yummy. Love of my life enjoyed the signature chilli crab omelette.
