I stayed at Rowes Bay recently a few times and lived previously in Townsville and used to go here. It was convenient to where I eas staying. Unfortunately my experience of take away (Nov and Dec 2018) is not good. Thai is my fav cuisine and I confess I work often in Melb where food options are enormous and exceptional. Miriams is just terrible. I went twice so gave it a chance. Last meal Grilled Beef. A horrible soggy stir fry version like a rural generic asian place. Fish cake, a staple, but gluggy with barely a fish or spice flavour in sight. Fried tofu with peanut sauce. Fried blocks with a sorry gelantinous sauce lacking zest, tang or nutiness. Pad Thai. A sticky noodle pile with nothing close to an authentic dish. Lime, fish sauce, palm sugar, basil etc. Where are they? Prices same as capital cities. Taste equivalent to an all you can eat bai marie in Charters Towers. Horrible . Avoid. Go to Reef Thai or other places in TSV CBD.
