Food was tremendous. Get the big fizz on tap. Big Bro burger had me quaking in my boots, will be back, and will bring even more boys this time. Amazing.

It was the our first Burger Bro experience today, at the Gold Coast store. Pleased to report that the Beached Az fish burger I had was exceptional. Not only great value but chips were fresh and the burger was AMAZING. Fresh bun. Fresh lettuce. Tasty fish. Just great. My fiance had the beef single burger and reported the same. We both had thickshakes and they too were very tasty and refreshing. Not too sweet. We will be back. Thanks Burger Bro, for a lunch that exceeded our expectations 🙂

Good Friday GC trip, planning to get some seafood but was overwhelmed by the huge line ups. With only a few eateries open near harbour town we found ourselves at Burger Bro. The small burger joint consist a small menu focused on boutique burgers and shakes. We were able to snatch up a table indoors and ordered the beef empire and mother clacker. All burgers include side of chips which is a nice touch. Being a NZ restaurant, how can we forget L&P aye bro! Our burgers arrived 20min from ordering and to be honest I was starving! First up, the beer empire which contains one beef patty, two rash of bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and their specialty BBQ sauce. First bite of the burger, you will be struck by the beefy taste of the patty and the light airy bun which holds everything together. Veggies were fresh and crispy and the BBQ sauce mild and flavourful. Few bites into the burger I realize there was a “funky” taste (not in a good way from my pov) with the beef patty. To make matters worse, the second half of the burger paddy was near paper thin. Wolfing down the whole lot left me feeling 50% full. For a $16 burger, I was expecting better. 3/5The mother clucker came next and that’s where the confusion came in. According to the menu, the burger suppose to be butter milk fried chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese & “clacker sauce”. For the burger served it was clearly a pan fried piece of chicken thigh fillet. We asked the lady behind the counter who simply said “that’s how it’s made”…The burger itself was quite tasty with the thigh well cooked and juicy. Dressed with the “clucker” white aioli infused sauce and fresh veggies the burger to us was a winner. The serving size again was an issue with even the Mrs feeling hungry after finishing the burger & chips. 3.5/5Service wise there isn’t much to say, you pay for the food and given a buzzer. Once ready you go collect it yourself. The girl taking our order took a while to recommend anything & initially gave us the wrong change (& wrong chicken burger). No free water but they do have self-service chilli sauce & napkins. 2.5/5Hint: I recommend giving their milk shake a go. The table next to us order it and looks choice as bro! We were tempted to order post meal but having already spent $40 on two burgers it’s hard to justify anything more. If butter milk fried chicken is on your agenda do make sure to double check before ordering.
