The food was average, I had pancakes and ice cream on top, this was the first time having ice cream on my pancakes but strangely tasted good. The maple syrup on the pancakes was not proper maple syrup, it was just a sugar syrup not a taste of maple in it. I also had a milk shake that tasted like they put ice into milk and blended it. The staff were friendly enough, next time I visit I’ll definitely ask for something different.
Friendly staff and quick service. Had the brekky special which consisted of 2 eggs, hash brown, bacon and toast all for 7 odd dollars. Can’t beat that value – would definitely go back here if I was back at harbor town shops.
I’ve had the tendency to judge cafes harshly on their choice of decor, and so often miss out on good, down to earth food at great prices for big portions, which is exactly what this place is.The last 2 times I’ve been with my husband and Aunty & Uncle we’ve received really friendly service and great coffee. The corn fritters with haloumi are so good! Something I’ll miss when we leave. The Hunger Buster, ordered by the two men with hearty appetites, lives up to its name.Moral of the story: just give it a go!
Good specials. Food was served fast. Friendly service. Regular menu is a touch pricey but acceptable if food is of good quality. Unfortunately I ordered the eggs florentine this came with lashings of tomato paste. I don’t mean spread liberally on the toast but dollops of sauce. Anyone who has cooked with tomato paste knows how bitter and sour raw tomato paste is. Honestly it’s all I could taste. Dish looked good but uneatable. I would go back and try again as other food I seen come did look good. Dish was about $17
