Cino’s Dad & I walked outta here fist-pumping life & clutching overfilled bellies; the cycle from ‘shopping frenzy’ to ‘lunch frenzy’ complete. On arrival it’s heaving inside & out with a broad clientele of young, old, tourists & locals. So popular in fact we were issued a raffle ticket to gain entry & after a short wait in the dining lottery our lucky number came up. Past the tanks of lobsters, fish & crabs & into the clean, spacious dining room we go. We combined ordering from the menu with the roulette of dishes being offered around – a pleasing selection of steamed, fried & sweet goodies. From string beans to rich roast pork belly everything we had was fresh, hot & bloody delishe. In the hit & miss yum cha world, this was pretty good. Good service, good value, good food, good mood!
Yes it was standard yum cha fare but I liked ordering it off the visual menu and having it brought piping hot to our table. The XLB got a good rating from my eldest and the roast pork dishes were very tasty. I thought the prices were pretty good, but my comparison point is Melbourne. To give an indication, 3 adults and 3 kids ate ourselves full for $140.

I liked the interior design of this yum cha place. The dim sums here are quite standard and the prices are quite high, but its fair enough since its in a ‘tourist zone’ in Broady. The only dim sum that i would recommend is the 金黃流沙包:salty egg custard bun. The oozing gold richness was absoulty beautiful!!
Food lacks flavour. Nothing special, just the typical yam cha dishes. Highlight: pan fried taro cake looks like deep fried taro cake.Fast service that allows you to order off the menu.
