I love the vibe of this place. Burgers are my favourite here, followed by the fried chicken. Bar service is easy and pretty fast if there isn’t a gig on. Even then, you still don’t have to wait too long to grab a drink.

Met friends for dinner and drinks before a gig here. We had burgers, wings, karaage chicken, cheesy fries and sweet potato fries- which were all delicious!! Great range of drinks and reasonably quick bar service even when they were extremely busy. Very hip, funky vibe in the bar/dining area and the gig venue to the side is awesome.

Funky fit out and a great venue in general. I think it’s great how they’ve placed the heaters on the roof. I felt nice and warm on a very chilly day. I got the Philly cheesesteak and the steak itself was so overcooked, chewy and dry. Thankfully, it came with lots of cooked veggies and cheese so it was edible. The bread was very dry and chips just average. I regret not getting then chicken karaage as I saw a few being served and they looked quite nice. Will be coming back to try the chicken and for a few bevs.

Great lunch spot, the lunch menu is fantastic; the philly cheese steak and other burgers are all top notch. Good selection of beers on tap, as well as craft beers.

We were planning on trying the new burger food truck at Green Beacon, but as they were doing free burgers the queue was absolutely humongous! We decided we couldn’t wait so headed to the Triffid as I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while. Ordering food was the bar was easy, didn’t have to wait too long for the burger and chips. The chips were pretty ordinary better with a heap of seasoning but still quite average. The burger in the other hand was excellent, tasty patty, cooked really nicely too. Would return for burgers, beer and music.

Great beer garden and friendly staff. Had the Triffid Dog which was delicious. Perfect mix of condiments and the cheese kransky was amazeballs. Good selection of beers on tap including my favourite.

Great venue – open, airy. Awesome tunes and chilled out vibes. Friendly and hip staff. Shite food – you’d probably get better food at the local footy food van. Burgers taste like butter. Asian salad is mostly fish sauce. Sliders are very little more than bread.
