Stopped in here for a quick breakfast smoothie on my way to work. It was busy but the staff worked super quickly and everyone was served fast. I liked that I was able to add spinach to my smoothie from the menu at no extra cost. My smoothie was a little floury tasting – I think the banana was a touch under ripe. I liked the rest of the ingredients though – SO rare to find a place that does non-dairy smoothies. Nice little touch that the coffees are served with a chocolate coated coffee bean and the smoothies and juices come with a little wafer on the side. It’s the small things! The staff were very accommodating, rare these days! I liked the look of the rest of the menu and will definitely return again soon. lifelovetravelfood.wordpress.com
I’ve grabbed a takeaway bagel or sandwich here a few times and found the food a bit underwhelming (not that flavoursome but OK). Recently, pleased to see some new menu options (various boxes – breakfast, taco, vegetarian) I tried the taco box for a late takeaway breakfast – a tortilla with scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, some salad and herbs and balsamic glaze. Sounds pretty good, I thought.The guy behind the counter kept me waiting to order even though he saw me standing there. Then he took my order like it was a major inconvenience for him and walked off without another word. I could look past that if the food had been good – but it was really not great – the eggs were very bland/unseasoned and not hot enough, there were no herbs and hardly any avocado, too much bacon with lots of rind/fat, and the tortilla is enormous and too dominant (and not particularly nice in flavour or texture) – it also wasn’t wrapped tightly and immediately fell apart when I tried to eat it. Worst was that even though this is served in a box (making it difficult to eat with cutlery instead of hands) – the glaze is put all over the outside of the tortilla, so you get more glaze on your hands than in your mouth (and it’s too sweet and dominant anyway, especially when the filling is bland). Sorry Cawfee but this did not inspire my confidence to try more of your menu.
Love my morning fix of Cawfee coffee. They always remember my name and the service is friendly. Love their winter soups and Friday afternoon drinks.
Located on Queen Street near my office, I stopped by here for a caffeine hit in the afternoon whilst we had a break. It wasn’t too busy and the service was nice.The prices are good and even better was that there was an afternoon special so my Mocha was only $3 instead of the usual $4 they had posted. The coffee itself was decent and good value at that price. It came with a couple of chocolate covered coffee beans which was lovely.
Love the bagels here, and the ability to add on extra ingredients. And as a Melburnian who has really struggled to find decent coffee in Brisbane I am pleased to report that the coffee here is delicious. I’m not sure why it hasn’t got a better rating!
Lunch here another day, ordered a nachos and a Ceaser salad, not too bad. is a good lunch spot where u just want to be yourself and have a quick lunch. (Jul, 2017)came here for lunch on a Tuesday, not quite busy is kind of a cool spot to hang out with a cup of coffee and a light lunch. heard the bagel is good here, came in to get a rye bagel with salmon n cream cheese. got it heated up…but then is flated?! i don’t know …i don’t want my bagel to be flat…but it got a handful of chips to cheer me up. *sad face*. I just wish they made a better soy latte. Everything else was good…
