Very busy during peak times and you can be in line for a while. They do have some pretty fine breakfast and lunch offerings for reasonable prices if you are in the city. I’ve tried their lamb souvlaki with pita which is quite good and colleagues have enjoyed their pulled pork and other burgers.
Love this place. It has friendly, smiling staff and great food served quickly. Perfect place for team breaky or lunch! I definitely recommend trying it out!
I’m in mixed minds. The coffee is consistently good and reasonably priced. It can be a bit of a wait at peak times but the place can get insanely busy. The food array is extensive and seems to be good value for money however I’ve tried a few things (muffins, cakes etc) and they’re a bit average. That said I’ve really only scratched the surface of their offerings and there are some things that my colleagues rave about – particularly the potato rosti which I am still to try. It’s not bad for a daily coffee fix.
Good food, rude staff. I have bought food and drink here many, many times. Usually the fod is good….almost as often as the service is poor. Two staff members in particular are quite rude. I’d also query their time mangement-apparently they don’t think 10 minutes is a long time to wait for a sandwich (already made) to be toasted.
I’m always in a hunt for a coffee place near my work and had noticed this place ages ago. When I finally visited it for lunch I was disappointed. I had coffee and a toasted croissant with ham and cheese. While my flat white was acceptable my lunch was pretty sad looking. Not only was it completely dishevelled and soggy, it had bit of food on it that clearly were not part of the sandwich. Im pretty sure it was meant to be toasted but I had the microwaved version. Needless to say it wasn’t particularly enjoyable. But what I found most annoying was the rude service and crankiness of the lady at the till when I dared to ask questions about where I pick up my food. It was after clearly all my first visit and the setup is a bit busy looking – everything everywhere with high counters. Lucky I didn’t eat in as I would not have enjoyed the second hand smoke from the office workers smoking a few meters away from the tables.
Great place….. I used to work right across the road from Coffee Depot and while I’m not a coffee drinker, we often headed here for lunch to sit down or takeaway. Their salads are so good, that I would often buy extra to have for dinner that night. Very inexpensive and the portion sizes are huge! When meeting friends who still work in the area, we always go here. The service is fantastic, really friendly; and the food is always fresh, and has a good rotation of menu choices. Their sweets are good too!
The CD is a very pleasant place for Brekky. I opted for the Avocado Toast which was fabulous. Highly recommended.
