Ordered a eye fillet steak – meal was set out nicely however it was the worst peice of meat I’ve ever seen – wouldn’t have even feed it to my dog! I raised my concern with the waiter who spoke to the chef to confirm it was the right kind of meat. I was still not satisfied and requested to speak with the manager – I was made to wait half an hour before he came out – by this time they had convieantly taken the plate away. I then raised this with the manager on duty who said he was unable to help me with my complaint – not even a refund or another comp meal – poor customer service that afternoon.
Good, honest, and cheap. Who could possibly knock back a steak, chips, salad and a pot for $11.50? Steak was a little gristly, but cooked exactly to order (medium), and on my table within 10 minutes of ordering. Good, friendly crowd of after-work diners and drinkers, with a TAB attached but seperate to the dining area and bar. Friendly table service. Will definitely be back.

Great menu and value! Awesome selection of microbrews. We eat there every Friday at lunch! Strongly recommended but it can take awhile to get your order in.
What a pleasant surprise eating at Grand Central was! Hands down, this is the best combination of value for money and straightforward pub food we’ve found in Brisbane so far. Where else can you get a beautifully cooked steak for $13??? Ok, it’s a bar, the service was not very personable and the menu is pretty basic, but that steak was so good all that can be forgiven! The prices are what basic pub food should be costing, and the food is much better than many of the other pub offerings we’ve suffered. Give it a go. Definitely won’t hurt the pocket!
