The best dinner We never had in Brisbane during our holiday last month. The service was excellent, the location as well, the food was superb. We ordered mainly fish, calamari, octopus, barramundi and veggies. Awesome. Hope to come back again.

This is my picky mothers favourite restaurant in Brisbane cause she can dress up, she loves half price stuff, loves an early night and she loves a good simply cooked meal. It’s at Eagle st pier so good luck finding parking, last time I went, they didn’t validate parking.Service is always super professional, enthusiastic and prompt. I have never had bad service the last 4-5 times I’ve been here. Expect the waiters to know the specials like the back of their hand, be prompt on orders, drinks and be happy to take photos for you haha.My only complaint is that light is not quite endangered, let’s say a threatened species in this restaurant. Lighting is not equal and some parts are much, much darker than others. Makes it hard for good photos! My sister came with us and had haloumi for her entree. 3 slender pieces of haloumi with char grilled capsicum, in a stack on a giant plate. Enough said.As my entree, I got the grilled baby octopus, which came on a bed of buttery short grain rice and a bright citrusy sauce. I get this every time cause I love octopus, I love their tender, squishy heads and crispy tentacles. Not as generous a serve as my old fave the Greek club but nothing to be sneezed at either.I got the barramundi as my main, a solid fillet of fish that was meltingly soft and moist. I got some tasty potatoes, asparagus, a meaty shitake mushroom that I gave to my sister, some lemon and herb oil and a big blob of tartare sauce. Tartare is one of my sisters favourite sauces so she stole most of it.My sister got the ravioli. She said it was passable. They actually have a daily veggo/vegan menu but the options looked a bit fancy for my potato/simple fare loving sister. My mum got the lamb fillets as always. It’s immensely blurry but she gets this every time so it’s Hella good.My opinion of this place doesn’t matter cause I’ll keep getting dragged here just like Runcorn tavern with my dad. thatseriousgirl.blogspot.com
