I had the $32 All You Can Eat option which includes unlimited meat (beef/chicken/fish) and sushi. The quality is on the wholeacceptable but you certainly won’t get a great cut of beef and I have no clue at all where the fish comes from.It can represent good value for money if you have a big appetite and have several dishes of meat and shamelessly scoop dishes off the sushi train, you may even eat more than $32 worth of sushi if you really have the stomach for it.On my next visit I will try the more traditional a la carte style of dining, as I didn’t particularly enjoy the quality of the fish/beef in the All You Can Eat option. On a positive note the service was friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, Hanaichi is off the mark when it comes to its sushi train. I dined mid-evening so was expecting to enjoy fresh options from the train. Sorry to report but only a very limited selection was available, none of which were (ideally) to my liking, i.e. cooked tuna, katsu chicken, etc… I persisted and selected a few dishes including the only dish of salmon sushi available. The rice was cold, firm and swelled.; The eel was soft and sloppy. Disappointing.

What happened to this place? For years it was my go to sushi bar. It had been a few years since my last visit, the place had changed, in fact the whole Wintergardens had changed. Straight up the service was average, the boss lady was ordering the staff around, but not productively & very distracting. They served my iced tea by giving me a room temperature bottle (didn’t even bother to open it for me). The sushi train itself lacked varieties, quality was not good either, the eel was dried, the takoyaki were cold, probably been on the train for a while. Really really disappointing.
