Always a fun and lovely experience, when visiting any of the Harajuku locations. The staff are always extremely friendly, incredible at their job and make the whole eating experience a delight. Really good food and I’ll continue to try their other locations, when I’m in Brisbane next.
Came here for work lunch and took advantage of the 50%off fork deal. Looked a lot of people did as the place was packed. The staff were still very attentive and brought over our meals pretty fast after we ordered. Ordered the pork dumplings, karage chicken, eggplant and the foot long frys for fun. Overall a pleasant experience.
Came in for lunch on a Saturday and found the dumplings were quite disappointing. The gyoza was undercooked and the bottom was not even crunchy like a gyoza should be. Chef couldn’t be bothered didn’t separate them. Black burnt bits from the pan were left when the pork gyoza were served. The filling tasted strange and quite sour even without adding vinegar. Not worth $12-$14 for only 5 small, poorly cooked gyoza.
The gyoza at this chain is pretty good. The only negative was that the staff forgot to bring us 2 plates that we ordered. Once we notified the staff our plates never arrived the issue was rectified quite quickly.
Have been to the other two outlets of this franchise so knew what to expect. Actually this branch was sadly lacking in any sort of atmosphere. Was pretty quiet & lacked the passion of the ones in the Valley & Southbank. The dumplings (gyoza) were the star turn for us, fluffy & light with silky texture & sumptuous vegetarian filling. Miso soup was just passable tofu was very rubbery. Nice crispy eggplant dish in a tasty broth & the salted soy beans were ok.
