Good Indian fusion food, the lamb curry was my favourite out of the three, the fish curry was a bit bland but still ok. Samosa tasted beautiful and portion size was good as an entree.Curry for two is good size if you order entree and a side of naan. If you are a big eater you might need more naan or rice as a side.Waitresses/waiters were unsure of the menu (but hopefully just because its only a new restaurant)Also they should really ask the customers if they are finished with the food and drink before taking it away (it made us all feel very rushed)They also have late bookings available but the kitchen closes soon after so if youre looking for a relaxed dining dont make the last booking otherwise youll feel so rushed having to order entree and main at once. One huge disappointment was the dessert, gulab jamun, which turned out to be a cheesecake instead !!!! and had absolutely nothing related to gulab jamun. I understand the concept of fusion food but perhaps they should just not call that dessert gulab jamun (the cheesecake tasted good but it really let us all down because it was very misleading because it simply was not gulab jamun)Nicely decorated restaurant And beautiful view of Brisbane riverId definitely go back to try more food
Mixed emotions about this place. Was really looking forward to it too so a bit disappointed that it turned out to be average food. Pros: great location, good outdoor seating, well presented and yummy pani puri and loved the pippali chicken. Had great flavours. Unfortunately this is where the enjoyment ended for us. Cons: average service, average drinks, disappointing main which was curry culture but the worst dish for us was the dessert chai kulfi. It was soo frozen than we couldnt even put our spoon through it and it tasted like slightly milky watery ice. It was a birthday reservation too but it was completely ignored. Also during mains they offered chilli and than charged us for it when it came to paying the bill and the chilli only came towards the end of our main and it was sambal and not hot at all. In conclusion, l was very disappointed.
Heritij is located in a beautiful place with a view of the Brisbane river and Southbank. The service was great. We started off with mango lassis which were average and unfortunately did not have much mango in them but had a strong coconut flavour which was nice. For entrees we had the pomegranate prawns and pani puri. North delicious and loved the presentation of the pani puri with the shot glasses of liquid to pour into the pani puri! For mains we got three curries with naan and the curries were cooked to perfection! The chicken and lamb were deliciously tender and so too the fish. Desert was a creative take on traditional Indian desserts and were presented beautifully! The Gulab Jamun was definitely my favourite! I would have rated this place a 3.5 if I had the option.
