Had the breakfast breakfast after staying overnight at the hotel. Great options of every type of egg, potato and bread, plus cereals, bacon, sausages and even a pancake maker. Yogurt, pastry and many drink options too, although not much fruit or vegetables. For $12 (if you book with the hotel) its great value especially for a big family.
Had a lamb shank for dinner, was pretty well cooked, wish a mash potato. For desert i had a disconstructed cheesecake, only complaint is that the portion could be bigger, cuz the desert was really good!!! Haha
Tempted by Diana’s review below so purchased the Groupon deal immediately and had a dinner on last Tuesday. Wow! the venue was huge with two floor; unfortunately, the kitchen located on the ground floor so the poor waiters have to go up and down to pick up dishes to diners’ tables (their hearing ability are marvellous). Service was very good and sincere, however, the dishes were varied in standard. Loved the chicken wings in one of the entrees, which was well presented, tasteful and crispy. Soup of the day (mushroom soup) was seriously let down. It was oily and extraordinary salty to the degree that you could even taste the bitterness. We did tell the waiter who politely offered us a new one but we did not bother to make trouble to him. Mains of eye fillet was done perfectly med-rare but no mushroom sauce to follow as we ordered. My lamb rump was let down again without the mushroom sauce and I had half of that in well and half portion in med-rare. If review was based on the food, they only scored 2.5/5, however another half mark belonged to the good services from the floor staff. Another case to show the importance of team-work, advise the chefs play attention to the production, otherwise it will generate lots of troubles and pressure to the wait-staff.
We had a coupon deal for Ibis Kitchen & were pleasantly surprised with the food & beverages we received. I think the coupon was around $45 & we had two drinks, two entrees & two mains. All were of good quality but the highlight was my salmon. A huge chunky piece with a beautifully crisped skin. Partner was wrapped in his lamb shank, he advised me the meat fell off the bone (which I could plainly see!) Was served with a fluffy mash & greens which was perfectly cooked also. The entree we had were the squid & the canapes. Squid was cooked perfectly, by this I mean not chewy, which happens most of the time in the majority of restaurants. The wine we had was a rose very fragrant & refreshing. Service was also good although on saying this they were not busy as we were probably the last diners
