I came here for a 21st birthday and we hired out the upstairs dining area. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the busy street. Particularly the steak here was very nice and reasonably priced. The bar area down stairs can be busy and tight at night but on regular occasions a live band is playing. Altogether a great atmosphere!

Headed in for an all day brekkie and were glad we did. Good old school Irish pub with Irish fare. Partner had the traditional fry up breakfast and I had the Irish Stew. Top notch on both counts. The energy during the day was so good we went back the next day for another feed and was slightly disappointed as the Irish Stew and Beef & Guinness Pie had all sold out (no wonder as the quality was so good – home style all the way) so I settled for Bangers & Mash and wasn’t disappointed in my second choice – it was to die for. Regardless of negative reviews regarding an evening visit, the daytime crowd is just as an Irish pub should be – chat to anyone while you sink a pint or three.

Good old Irish pub in the heart of Brisbane if you want a good Guinness and some traditional Irish food well this is the pub for you… Really good place and service 1st class..

Dangerous place where the bouncers use excessive force . Know 3 different people who were asked to leave and thrown down the stairs before they had a chance to walk out. Same kiwi bouncer each time. Someone is going to be killed . Broke one girls nose and left her with two black eyes. May I add she’s engaged , rarely goes out and wouldn’t say boo to a ghost never mind getting kicked out of bars. Enter at your peril

Used to be ok, now best to avoid. I don’t expect too much from a pub lunch and Irish Murphies in the past has been ok as long as you stuck to certain items from the menu. Recently though they removed the popular BELT which I normally would have. Since it is always a gamble as to which dish is ok I thought I would play it safe and get the BBQ Chicken Pizza. For my $15 I received a super oily pizza that makes dominos look like a healthy choice. The overpowering sauce meant I could not taste the supposed 3 cheeses, nor the 3 small chicken strips. In fairness they did dump a clump of onion on to try and compensate (note to cook.. try and at least spread out toppings to more than 2 slices). Just to make the experience worse the meal took about 40 minutes.

Decent pub lunch experience. Almost everything on the menu is $15 available all day which makes things nice and easy.I had the Moroccan lamb burger, which I’m glad I did. The beef patty marinated in some delicious spices. Unfortunately it was a little undercooked. My wife had a steak, while not too bad for $15 the peppercorn sauce was terribly watery. For the price though, was a good pub lunch.
