We went to the Jade Buddha in Eagle Street Pier, I found it was pretty decent. At least the Prime Cheeseburger I ordered was cooked perfectly. The bun wasn’t the greatest but the overall flavour of the burger was great. The portion of fries was good as well.
My partner and I went for the Tuesdays specials – unlimited dumplings (but just 1 type) for $12 per pax. We were surprised at how tasty the dumplings were as we underestimated the quality, expecting them to turn out soggy and subpar since the deal was so cheap. To our delight, the dumplings all have a really glossy and smooth skin to them and the meat was juicy inside, drizzling the insides with vinegar brought them to a new level :)The ambience was cozy and comfortable as well, with carpeted floors/ceiling and the view of the river. However, the customer service could be better as we were trying to look for seats and were not introduced as to how things worked in the restaurant (apparently it was free seating and on a first-come-first-serve basis without the seat allocations from any staff).I recommend coming back just for the dumpling deals. Who can say no to cheap thrills?
Alrighty so heres the thing: you cant go wrong with the weekday lunch special – $10 beef burger / chicken burger / fish & chips with a drink purchase. (Chicken burger + Corona all the way for me.) Been a bunch of times & its a completely fine no brainer. Ill take a frosty frothie & burgs with riverfront ambience instead of my workdesk anytime – happy days!
Been here a few times! The food, the staff and the drinks and mediocre! Not worth the visit! Best to hit up another place like blackbird! Youll have a much better time there!
Very nice place, central to CBD and Eagle street has a nice pier , We had dumplings, very nice, some were a little dry but overall very nice. We also visited for dinner on another night but was a little disappointed in service it was very busy and we had to wait for dishes to arrive, but was worth the wait once they came out overall great food, just improve service
Good and vibrant location but no good food. We ordered burger which came with soaked fries and vermicelli salad which was so sweet it was not edible (unless you would have ordered desert). Shame it could have been a great evening.
