Home of the only Udon I have ever seen that thinks a single piece of fake friggin crab meat cut in two is 1. An actual reasonable amount of meat in an 8 dollar dish, and 2. Somehow worth charging more to -double-.Really disappointed, never eating here again. Ugh.

Started out great and declining badly. The signature karaage chicken is just a big bowl of rice with a small amount of batter and even less chicken. Sushi is still excellent. Disappointing.
I waited to review this one until I went back (and funnily enough ordered the same thing!). The food is consistent, the sashimi fresh and reasonably priced and the fried chicken bowl adequate – a bit too much rice vs protein for my liking. Not a bad option for a quick lunch in the city
Can only comment on the coffee here as I just ran in for a takeaway. The barista asked me if I wanted a double shot when I ordered as I requested strong & hot. I opted for a shot & a half & it wasn’t enough (my stupid fault). Flavor was passable Piazza D’oro brew
Whether it’s a quick stop over before the footy or an after work dinner, Karaage hits the spot! Plenty of options to choose from whether it’s a hot meal or quick bite of sushi. I’ve been here a few times now (first time with the fabulous Cino’s Mum and the other half) and ordered the same thing each time! Our recent trip, I ordered the Karaage Chicken and it was so yummy! Crispy chicken, fluffy rice, Japanese mayo – who can really complain? My chicken was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and the rice perfectly cooked. The prices are really good, portions are great, staff very friendly and so easy to find! Definitely a go to for me when I want something quick, simple and delicious!
Tumbleweeds & crickets greeted me & my Zo-mates on arrival, along with a slightly uninspiring vibe inside. Undeterred we nevertheless still ordered our fix of karaage chicken. A large bowl for $9.50 was served with salad leaves, a substantial bed of rice and a veritable river of sauce on top. The karaage pieces had a nice crisp coating & the chicken was tender. Size-wise it definitely represented good value for money & luckily I had a willing taker to finish the last of mine for me. Overall this was a totally adequate low-key meal. There was also a selection of pre-made single sushi rolls and packs which looked a bit sad after what I suspect was a long day in the cabinet.Undoubtedly a decent feed for residents in the Student One building above but otherwise….yeah, nup. I could take it or leave it.
