We dined here on the recommendation of a friend and had a lovely time. I booked a table ahead of time so we were seated immediately and had a fantastic table looking out to the bridge on the edge of the restaurant. I loved the way the restaurant was cut out to be so open and spacious and the decor set the tone for a relaxing, enjoyable experience. There was a lot of options on the menu but we were drawn to the three course meal option ($50 pp) because it all sounded delicious. We ordered the calamari and lamb shanks for the entree, the osso bucco and prawn and crab for the main and the chocolate cake and Italian parfait for dessert.I enjoyed being able to try way more things by ordering through a course menu and sharing plates. My favourite dishes were the calamari, the osso bucco and the chocolate cake. The calamari was perfectly crisp while the flavour and tenderness of the main was so addictive and I’ve never had such a wonderfully moist and flavoursome chocolate cake at a restaurant.

We have lived in the CBD for just over 3 weeks and have dined there 6 times. Admittedly it’s a stones throw from our building. The specials menu (lunch and pre 6:30) is particularly good value. Great menu choice and very friendly service. Standouts have been the whole flounder, crab pasta, veal cutlets and osso bucco!

Last week we had a team lunch at work. This time I was designated social organiser and was granted the great power (and responsibility) of choosing where we’d go for a colleague’s farewell lunch. Bound by the restrictions of proximity and time, I opted to try the fairly newly opened Massimo, sister venture to George’s Paragon, also situated along Eagle Street.
