Solid 3.5Finally. A dedicated poke store in the CBD. Maholo. Customisable bowls are decently sized & priced with ample mix & match options. They also do curry bowls (but pfffft no thanks and why?)….& at this point I realise most of the offerings are not traditional poke-related at all. However I highly recommend the Hawaiian marinated tuna if youre trying to capture the authentic spirit of aloha. The flavour & texture was superb, transporting me back to Honolulu. 8 plump cubes will never be enough. Felt a touch of stinginess with some of the inclusions (challenge: play find the edamame in my pics). Ideally a final flourish of sesame seeds or nori on top would have tied everything together nicely. Realistically flourish isnt the vibe I got here. Its Popular (capital P) so inevitably service was rushed with some communication barriers. Still: healthy | satisfying | serious feels.
