The menu, the decor and the location had me hoping this Thai would be one of the best in Brisbane. Unfortunately the beef rib was tough and the pad thai lacked flavour and the chicken was dry. The five spice pork roti was good but not enough to make me come back. Desserts were nice but not a stand out. Our meal wasn’t any better than our local Thai restaurant in the suburbs.
I’m quite certain that the design, the decoration and the best combination between Thai traditional and Thai modern. I do believe everyone will be experienced in Thai culture without travelling to Thailand or going to the kitchen. They intentionally design not only the stunning environment but also the fantastic foods that you can be experienced such as D.I.Y. Somtom & Thai milk tea & Laksa, most of which can make by yourself. Apart from that, there is a KUNG-TUNG which is trendy Thai street food at the moment.
We got the duck pancakes, curry puffs and 2 x crispy chicken green curry. The puffs were average, nothing you wouldn’t find in your freezer section same with the spring rolls the “duck” was mince and there was next to nothing of it. The curry was lacking basic basic flavour and very watery. I ordered coconut rice with it and got given pandan and coconut rice. Which is BRIGHT GREEN like dr Suess green eggs and ham green it was super unappetising to look at and had a sweet taste to it. I would’ve preferred they just told me they were out of coconut rice and gave me normal jasmine instead. The amount of chicken in the meal was super tiny and my friend and my portions were completely different sizes . Cocktails were excellent but food, I wouldn’t go back
