We turned up on a Friday night and got a table straight away down the back of the venue past the bar. Large groups, small groups and couples all began filling the place quite quickly. We ordered a bottle of wine to begin and then perused the menu. So much choice! We decided to share fish cakes to begin… they were hot and looked delicious with chilli and fried basil leaves on top- they tasted every bit as good as they looked. Next came chicken pad Thai, steamed rice, steamed vegetables and prawns in chilli and basil sauce. Very filling and tasty food. The wine was all gone so we ordered some sparkling to finish with. Bigger tables ordered large cocktail jugs which looked spectacular. We have decided to return with a larger group to sample some of the well priced and photo worthy drinks on offer. The decor is fun and colourful and the staff are super efficient and friendly. Brilliant night out. When we left there was a queue waiting to be seated!!

Went here with Amanda for lunch! Its in Elizabeth Street a few doors down from Sushi Edo, so good luck finding a park. I like the atmosphere of this place and the fact that its more of an eats/drinking establishment. It’s open to 1-2am most nights too, so finally a place to eat besides Maccas after work! They actually have a lunch menu but we got a few bits from their regular dinner menu too. The first thing we got was the chicken hot and sour soup, an absolute cracker of a dish. Lots of fresh and dried chilis giving the whole thing a real spicy kick, a pleasant sourness and lots of rich depth in the broth itself. It came with a lot of tender shredded chicken, some fish balls, fried wonton wrappers and thin rice noodles. Since having it, I’ve learned how to make it and its a regular part of my menu for braces life. For our entree, we got the crab and prawn spring rolls with plum sauce, I don’t actually like this style of wrapper for some reason, too delicate! The filling was quite soft and squishy, I don’t remember anything really about this dish.We got the coconut chicken salad with poached chicken, poached prawns, betel leaf, Thai herbs, cashews and a coconut dressing, so freaking good. The serving was a bit small, I would’ve easily been able to eat a huge serving of this! The flavours were just so well balanced, spicy, creamy, salty and sour with tender chicken and prawns, crunchy cashews, the creamy, zingy coconut dressing and the refreshing herbs, coriander and mint. It was a textural and flavourful delight! We got the salt and pepper ribs but they weren’t anything too crash hot. Soft bone pieces of pork, that had a pretty good char on them though. Hard to eat with braces!Amanda also got two large Thai iced coffees from here, one that she drank straight away and one as we were leaving. She clearly enjoyed them haha.Would definitely go back here again! The food is interesting, pick wisely though as out of the four things we ordered, two were stellar and two were average! thatseriousgirl.blogspot.com

Had good food and service here. The prices were a little steep for the portions, but taste wise, the food was great. They were accommodating as we were celebrating a birthday.

Really cool interior, yummy food, quite cheap and quick. It took a while for someone to take our order but once we ordered it didn’t take long to get our food. There was a funky looking cocktail menu so I’ll have to come back sometime later in the day.Overall a really nice lunch

Finally tried pochana after a cheeky Elizabeth cinema date night and the place was absolutely pumping! Cocktails were the goods, really tasty and well presented.. only downfall was they were a bit light on the alcohol for me. Thats probably just the binge drinker in me talking. Had a few of the dishes and they were all really tasty. We had such a good time we forgot to take photos of all our dishes 🙁 definitely recommend though the food was really good and the vibe was buzzing

Came here for lunch today, ordered from a lunch menu, a pad thai.I got seated at 1240, I was the last one got my dish amongst two curry rice and a pad thai, mine arrived like 1305.first bite…so salty seriously thought about sending it back, but i guess i won’t be happy anyway cause i will have to wait again…… so didn’t end up doing that’s why i am a little grumpy now.Size wise: nothing like any other Asian restaurant, size is relatively small.
