Functional and interesting destination, but the food was just very poorly executed. I’m very sure this destination would own the after-work drink trade, but it is fledgling in the brunch trade.
Visited river bar and kitchen last night on Australia Day and ordered the salmon w saffron, fennel, red pepper and dill. The salmon was super tasty and cooked perfectly, the salmon also had crispy skin which I always enjoy. Service was reasonably quick considering how busy the place was and its also a great location, with Brisbane river and Story bridge views.A very enjoyable meal!
Beautiful spot looking onto the river, I came here for a work lunch. I ordered the chicken and kale salad, I was quite underwhelmed when it was served to me. I had serious food envy from my surrounding colleagues who ordered burgers and pizzas. The salad itself was alright, the dressing was delicious. However, the avocado was low quality and tasted very watery and the chicken wasn’t freshly grilled. The portion size was also quite poor for a $20+ salad.
