Im very confused… has the owner changed? I dont feel like I used to when I walk in anymore… has the chef changed as well? I noticed some menu changes when I got a coffee the other day.
Went there for brekky a few months ago. Really like this place, the atmosphere and the food. The staff seem friendly too. High ceiling is nice. Spacious enough, a little bit dark. That morning was not too busy i thought.
Fantastic coffee tucked away in a city laneway. My coffee was perfectly brewed and I love the real chocolate shavings on the cappuccino. The only issue was my coffee was never called out. I had to approach the counter and ask if that was my coffee.
Have been here a few times as great venue for informal business meetings. Table service with cafe style food, great for a lunch with very good food & service. Consistent experience!
This place was buzzing when I gingerly walked by. It is down a laneway off Elizabeth St which reminds me of Melbourne, even the layout of the cafe did, sort of warm & cosy on a sticky Brisbane day!! Oh well I always need my coffee fix whatever the weather. Decided to opt for a takeaway as all the seating was taken & as usual I was short of time. Coffee was a disappointment on opening that take away lid, however, upon tasting the not so elegant brew I was surprised by the flavor packed in there. All those subtle notes & aromas & it packed a punch with the standard double shot, so I was happy
Best hot chocolate ever. I like hot chocolates more over coffee and and every now and then have one. Of late I was quite disgusted with the kind of hot chocolates cafe’s all over Brisbane served with the exception of Lindt cafe’ in the dfo. All serving sweet chocolate flavoured milk rather than authentic hot chocolates.Strauss was a huge exception. I was surprisingly delighted when I took the first sip a few days back. Amazon texture and the perfect blend of Lindt dark chocolate, cocoa powder, milk and sugar, served to perfection with Lindt decadent chocolate flakes. Yumm really! Hope they keep serving excellence to BrisVegas for years to come.
I finally tried Strauss this morning, and I was not disappointed. Lovely flat white and great place to sit and hide from the hot city streets. Worth a try!
