Cino’s appraisal:Chicken & shroom – tender chook, juicy bacon. Purring and chewing together at last.Bbq pork – frenzied reowing and climbing up legs gets me more tidbits. Eyes rolling back in head. Wagyu beef – kitty belly almost full. Chicken wings – snoring from bed only.Beware the litter tray tmr mum…but thanks for sharing
I am always excited when I turn up for an event and one of the two Bun Mobiles is there. Everything is so tender and delicious. My wife used to stalk them around the city – not only does she love their food, but when there was a worldwide Siracha shortage a few years ago they could always be counted on to have plenty of the spicy goodness.
I really don’t get the cult following the Bun Mobile has created. The flavor of the buns was ok but the presentation was bad, it looked like it had just been quickly thrown together. The price is very high for what you receive and at $10 a bun, I was very disappointed. I may have had a one-off bad experience as I have friends who love this place so I would probably check out it again in the future.
This is seriously the best mobile food truck, not only do you receive superior customer service, the food is amazing. Favourites are the Chicken Caesar and the Lamb.

A friend who has defected overseas Loves the Bun Mobile and makes it a mission to track it down every time she returns to Brisbane. This time round we caught it at the Brisbane Twilight Festival @King George Square.The specials of the day were a Vietnamese pulled pork bun and a vegetarian option with grilled mushroom and halloumi. Having tried all their staple offerings we opted for one each of their specials. My pick was the pulled pork and while there was pork aplenty, along with a some cabbage and pickled cucumbers, I couldn’t discern any Vietnamese flavour at all. The bun was also wet (from the liquid running off the pulled pork?) which made it messy and I gave up half-way through. My friend of course enjoyed her vegetarian bun immensely, so safe to say it won’t be our last encounter with the Bun Mobile.
