This is where you go when you need something to eat quick. It’s fresh, they actually have the filling run down the whole sushi (which for all us sushi-lovers is a pleasant surprise). May I suggest some brighter lighting and music to liven the place up a little? Even a sign out the front to let us know you’re there!
Top sushi is my go-to, quick lunch spot when I’m in the city. They never let me down. Sometimes they get quite busy but the line moves quickly. They aren’t amazing sushi but they’re good. The salmon is always good and fresh.
The size of sushi are big and so many choices,,,and i like the crab one,,so full of mouth with sauce and rice. Even though i am very full, i ate twice. Upstairs with more seats
Lejos el mejor sushi para llevar a laCasa!! O comer en la calle o simplemente caminando lo ame!!!!! Tienen rellenos con muchas cosas, bien hechos, bien rellenos, precio barato. Atencin excelente. Lo recomiendo 100%.
Always buy this sushi if I’m in hurry to go somewhere and really hungry. There so many options. The sushi also long. I like to eat 2 or 3 types of different sushi in one time. Will come back here for try another food!
Top? Certainly not!I was on my way to the Central Station to catch the Airtrain back to Melbourne. I would love to go back to Taro’s Ramen to try their Tonkotsu ramen which I didn’t try last night (see my review for their cold Hiyashi ramen). But it is too hot and I am short of time, so popped in to Top Sushi after realizing the Hanaichi Sushi Bar is a proper sushi restaurant which is also outside my budget.I’ll never have sushi rolls with fried or processed food in them, so the only choices are the salmon rolls and California rolls. I haven’t had sushi rolls so badly made, I am not sure what they are, definitely not sushi. Salmon is not so fresh, for cooking-only quality, and you can tell no care was given when sliced. The seafood sticks in the California rolls are very dry, almost no mayo. I am not sure if each roll has any avocado. The nori sheets are all soggy and wet. None of them has any taste, all tasted bland. I really should have got myself a 7-11 triple classic sandwiches ($7, 50 cents cheaper), they taste much more substantial than these sushi rolls. It is great that the shop accepts direct debit, but the customer service is not there at all. The girl at the cashier missed my order of a California Roll, instead of cancelling the transaction, she gave me a long face and made me pay it separately. Before I could ask for my receipt, she walked away to cheerfully serving two French ladies. I had to print and tear off my own copy, and she was not happy at all.
Pretty much disappointed. I read a lot of comments on the shop so decided to give it a try. Quick service, you can pay by cards which is great; mayo, ginger, napkins, chopsticks, bag or anything you need beside sushi, you can get them after pay, there is a counter with all you need to self serve. Though I just tried an Avocado Salmon roll, but found out salmon was not really fresh as it was smelly fishy, a bit chewy, not freshly soft, I concerned whether they use fresh and valuable salmon portions. And what I hate the most is too much rice in sushi roll, here they replicate it, by the way, did I mention I found bone, might be 2 (not remember exactly, but not 1) in the sushi, can’t believe. Overall, pretty disappointed because of the sushi quality. Now I have reason to be back to LR sushi, near Starbucks on the corner of Queens Plaza
