Disgraceful!. I had a horrible encounter with the female owner today on the phone when I tried to book in for the ‘high tea for two’ that I received a voucher for through Living Social. I asked if one could be gluten free as my mother is coeliac. They said they couldn’t do it because it was ‘too much work’ and they would ‘need to use more ingredients’ and it ‘wasn’t worth what you paid for the voucher’. What kind of attitude is that?!When I proceeded to tell her how unfair that was she said ‘you just want something for free!’ No. I just want to redeem the voucher my mother paid for. I offered to pay the difference for the gluten free option (which is only $4 more expensive) but she wouldn’t have a bar of it even after I informed her that there was no fine print saying that this was only for a standard high tea which she kept telling me it was for (it wasn’t). She told me that this meant nothing! When I told her I would take this up with consumer affairs because it’s false advertising, she replied with ‘go on, sue us, we have hundreds of customers daily, it won’t make a difference’. What a disgraceful attitude! On top of being a regular ‘high tea goer’ I am also a tea wholesaler and I have never been so mortified at such poor business etiquette! So don’t go to creativitea, they apparently don’t need your business.
Social_Sarah. Went to CreativiTea for the first time today for a friends birthday after hearing good reviews and was left disappointed. When I arrived I went to the front counter and advised the name of the booking to which the staff member said to take a seat, I thought this was odd considering we had booked so asked if I could just sit anywhere. It was at this point she directed me to the table. The savoury tart was more a piece of pastry with a sliver of tomato – not sure what happened to the rest of the topping. Scones were very average and only enough jam and cream on the platter for one not two people. There was only one pot of tea or coffee included in the price which surprised me, considering the amount that is charged I would have thought you would be able to get at least one refill. When we went to pay the waitperson told us that they wouldn’t charge for the extra jam & cream that we requested – if they supplied enough in the first place we wouldn’t have needed to ask for more. I won’t be returning.
Oh my God! so delicious!much better than Versace
