Harajuku Gyoza Beer Stadium offers an excellent range of food served with a smile. HGBS sticks to the basics, gyoza and beer, and does it well. Although they do offer a couple of other food items, they have captured they traditional Japanese concept of serving regional foods exclusively rather than trying to cater for diners who want to get a general picture of Japanese food. I sampled the vegetable and pork gyoza, both grilled (poached also available for some types) and both were full of flavour with an excellent balance between the outer casing and the filling – there wasn’t too much of either. You are expected to make your own gyoza sauce, but there are instructions in the menu and it allows you to make it as spicy as you want. There is a wide range of beers which are brewed on site. I sampled the dark lager which was packed with flavour and had a beautiful caramel taste that one would expect from this type of beer. Staff were lovely a very accommodating. A must-visit if you are in the Gold Coast.
Friendly service which is served with a smile. The duck gyoza was really yummy and there’s the opportunity to mix sauces together for a gyoza sauce. I had the lager beer which didn’t taste that great.
