Came for dinner two nights ago and had the Gnocchi Ragu! Just as I expected, it was so yummy, with some generous meat chunks! Service was good and food came out within a reasonable time.
Ate here on Saturday night. Got a chicken schnitzel and it was served below room temperature although it seemed over cooked. I like eating at La Porchetta I am a local to their restaurant but I won’t be coming back to Broadbeach.
Been to this place with a mate while been on holiday at gold coast as this was the only one open till late and whenever I wanna try anything Italian la porchetta is the place. Nice and friendly staff and the owner got there nice elderly man taking our order . The only thing I don’t like is that food comes in big portions. Good for those who take it home for next days lunch.
Had a carving for a good risotto meal tonight and got recommended this restaurant. When I arrived I must say service from what I could see was pretty good, I did however get take away. While waiting over 20 minutes (was promised less by one of the waiters) I did look around and was impressed by this one chef at the pizza/takeaway area as he did keep his hygiene with the food, was working well and had good communication with the other employees.When I received my meals, I was very unimpressed.. the pumpkin salad was tasty but the portion was very small and not filling at all, the mushroom risotto was very watered down, it felt like I was eating normal soggy rice with chicken soup. The amount of pepper in the meal overpowered any other flavour the risotto had. Most devastating part was that I did pay the same price for the meal without chicken when the original is with, this meal wasn’t even what I was told nor expecting. Overall, unfortunately really disappointed with the experience I had with the meals in this restaurant even though I did have a good first impression.
I was surprised by the quality of food at this restaurant. The La Porchetta restaurants in Melbourne are below average hence why this one surprised me. I recommend the Mexicana pizza and the American. The base is cooked very well and choose in toppings is great. I’d like to go back in my stay in Broadbeach and try the pasta. Service was very friendly and welcoming.
