Great little unstuffy gem in Broadbeach! This place dishes out authentic Malaysian, chinese fusion food with the usual favorites and some unusual options. Service at little Malaya is excellent, the waiter was polite, efficient and friendly but didn’t hover. He answered all our questions with panache. My kids loved the roti chanai, curry puffs and satay chicken. They gobbled up everything, not a crumb of leftovers. Not too spicy for them either. I had the beef rendang which was tasty and authentically flavored, but not too rich. They even allow you to choose from three heat levels for all of the curries, so you get what your palate can handle. My hubby had the Char Keo Tiow noodles which was authentic and good, even if a little overly salty. The presentation of the food was modern and beautiful and the atmosphere charming. A great little place for a casual night out.
