Took the parents to this restaurant for a evening meal, being older we had an early sitting, 5.30. The staff were very friendly showing the cheaper menu for the early sitting (same as late but cheaper). We all went the whole New Zealand grilled sole for a main. Each sole was an exact copy of eachother and all were cooked to perfection. Just lovely to eat, fresh and moist.Only downside was the lack of a side salad, (can order one on the side). But a small one on the plate would have brought the meal to a new level with the addition of an acid within the salad dressing.I will return as I had no issues with the food or the service.
After coming to this place for the last 15+ years, I won’t be returning. They offered 50% off however this time because we ordered one ship and shore, they decided to charge us full prices as we were going to share it. Never have I had this happen and not to mention the staff were rude and when asked for the owner, he came and basically was rude. He said he has been here for 20 years and then when I said I had been his customer for that long he said he hadn’t been here for 20 years! He wouldn’t listen to any reason. Then the waiter dropped my car keys didn’t apologise. My daughter ordered the steak and chips, the steak was hard and not chewable, when my partner spoke up, the owner ran out grabbed my daughters knife and fork, and proceeded to cut the meat at our table. He made a scene and said there is nothing wrong with it then took it away. My partner said wait we had put seafood on it from our platter he said no problems I’ll give you a fish and some seafood, sarcastically. I’m so disappointed and we won’t be coming back again! It’s not even about the money, the customer service and friendliness has gone! Just like my loyalty to this business!
The wait staff were extremely rude. When waiting to be seated we were ignored and the female server rolled her eyes when she had to serve us. The food was inadequate even for $10. The waitress was very rude and unfriendly during the whole experience. As soon as we stopped eating (not finished just taking a break to talk) she took our plates and brought the cheque back promptly without us asking for it. I felt unwelcome and the food was crap. Would never recommend. You could bought the ingredients for $3 at coles and it would have tasted better. Don’t go here.
