Located just outside of the Broadbeach hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to. It’s a small little cafe with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are polite and friendly. I haven’t yet tried the food, but the menu looks standard but definitely on the pricey end of the scale. How can an acai smoothie be $14?The coffee was enjoyable – a bit bitter at first but it mellowed. I would like to try the food when I get a chance, but am hesitant because if the prices.

We had read a review in the paper about Mlk so decided to try it for breakfast. First up the coffee was great. Rich, smooth flavors & good strength with double shots. My order was the tofu scramble, a tasty dish piled high on sourdough with lots of healthy kale
We came at a busy time but booked ahead online. Because it was busy, it took a little while before we received water for the table and menus. The service was really friendly though which compensated for this. The breakfast board is good value where you can select your own four sides. Decent serving of avocado. Haloumi wasn’t cooked well/not good quality. Moroccan fritter was nicely homemade. It’s nice to have the aircon and fan going on a hot day.
Stayed in Broadbeach recently and just Googled breakfast spots and happened to stumble upon this one. I came in around 11 and was still able to order breakfast (they serve it all day). I opted for their bruschetta and a flat white. Both were outstanding. The bruschetta was topped with avocado, tomato, red onion, bacon and poached eggs. So many flavors and colors—perfect way to start the day! I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting the Gold Coast.
