Neon is a Taiwanese place that also incorporates Japanese and South-East Asian tastes in it’s menu-which isn’t out of step with cuisine in Taiwan where there are a lot of both Chinese and Japanese influences in their food.The gua bao (or bao as they’ve become increasingly known as in the West, not to be confused with baozi) are amazing and a must try.
The dumplings are a must try here. So fresh and perfect! I got a special vermicelli chicken noodle dish which tasted awesome and my husband’s Japanese curry was also a winner. This is a good quick eats place.

Had a wonderful lunch here! We ordered the pork and wombok dumplings and the chicken karaage bao. I was blown away by the freshness, the flavours and textures of the food. It was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend this little spot for anyone visiting Broadbeach!
