Not a bad place for breakfast. Corn fritters and the smashed avocado along with coffees, all was good. Nice relaxing background music was perfect for a great morning experience. Give it a try. Oh yeah, great service too.

We popped into this place on a late afternoon after a long walk on the beach, and after being looked down upon by other bars nearby – probably because we were wearing jandals and singlets, and the bars in this area seems to cater for a more upper-market crowd. The staff at Onyx were friendly and very happy to accommodate us for a few drinks. The place feels a bit dated, but we ended up having some fantastic cocktails and had a really good time. Staff were friendly, casual, and happy. I would definitely return for more drinks and to try their food.

We picked Onyx because it was buzzing and had such a great atmosphere. The staff were so friendly which made for a good experience. There were heaps of cocktails to choose from, they were a little on the expensive side but they were still good. Food was pretty good but a little inconsistent with the steaks, the vegan noodle dish was very salty but other than that was a very nice dish – wish I could have had the Lidnt fondant but was too full and running out of money

The tapas here are tasty. The garlic bread however was such a standout. It was SO good – probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The menu was quite pricey but the garlic bread was so memorable that I still salivate thinking about it. I definitely recommend the garlic bread from this place.
