Went here yesterday for a late lunch with my partner. We didn’t realise that the country music festival was on but it was a very pleasant surprise. The wait staff seemed like they didn’t really want to be there. Rather talking to each other than seeing what paying customers wanted. The food was ok but quite average. My quiche was heated up so much that I had to cut it all up and hope it cooled but didn’t have much flavor at all. My partner had the pork quesadilla and it was average too. We wouldn’t come back here as there are plenty of other places to try in the same area.
Really enjoyed the whole experience from the moment we walked in . Lovely friendly staff willing to cater to all our requests . Food and coffee were perfect . We will be back .
Unseasoned food produced with no care factor. Slow unfriendly table service with miserable faces. The menu sounds much better than the food presented which has little flavour and swimming in grease. I won’t be coming here again.
Ordered a meal (burger) which came with a side chips, when we asked for sauce for our meal I was informed tomato sauce would come at 40c each. Condiments at restaurants should be inclusive of your inflated meal price. I declined to pay the extra for sauce on principal. However this was not good enough for the owner. He felt the need to come out and explain that because the shingle inn was a franchise he had limitations on price, so he needed to up sell on things like sauce. What a joke.Anyways food was average, customer service average to poor. There are much much nicer places to eat at Broadbeach don’t waste your time here.
